Holiday Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Cranberries
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 1 Orange

Method

  1. Cut the orange into 6 pieces, removing any seeds. Place the orange pieces into a blender and grind them until smooth.
  2. Rinse the cranberries in a strainer to remove any debris.
  3. Add the rinsed cranberries to the blender along with the water. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency.
  4. Transfer the cranberry mixture to a small pot.
  5. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  6. Place the pot on the stove and bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the cranberry sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and allow the cranberry sauce to cool.
  9. Once cooled, transfer the sauce to a serving dish or storage container.
