Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Brussel Sprouts
  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup
  • 6-8 slices of Bacon

Method

  1. Pull off any bad leaves on the Brussel sprouts and cut each sprout in half.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet with the bacon grease, add the Brussel sprouts. Season with salt, pepper, and add 2 tablespoons of butter for extra flavor.
  4. Cover the skillet and let the Brussel sprouts cook for 10-12 minutes, or until you see caramelization and the sprouts become tender.
  5. Once the Brussel sprouts are cooked, drizzle the maple syrup over them and crumble the cooked bacon on top.
  6. Stir everything together gently to ensure the sprouts are coated in the maple syrup and bacon.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  8. Serve the delicious maple bacon Brussel sprouts as a delightful side dish or accompaniment to your meal.
