Shrimp Tacos

Ingredients

  • Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lb of Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Green Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Red Cabbage, shredded
  • 3 Limes, cut into sixths
  • 1 Avocado, thinly sliced
  • Cilantro, chopped
  • 6 oz Sour Cream
  • 6 oz Mayonnaise
  • Small Tortillas
  • 2 Jalapenos, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce

Method

1. Boiling the Shrimp:

  1. In a large pot, bring water and Old Bay seasoning to a boil over high heat.
  2. Rinse the shrimp and add them to the boiling water. Cook for 1 minute and 15 seconds.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the pot and drain.

2. Preparing the Taco Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Sriracha sauce. Set aside.

3. Charring the Tortillas:

  1. Carefully place the tortillas on an open burner stove to lightly char them. Alternatively, you can heat them in a dry skillet over medium heat until warmed and slightly charred.

4. Preparing the Toppings:

  1. Thinly slice the avocado.
  2. Chop the cilantro.
  3. Thinly slice the jalapenos.

5. Assembling the Tacos:

  1. Spread a spoonful of the taco sauce on each tortilla.
  2. Layer the shredded green and red cabbage on top of the sauce.
  3. Add a few slices of avocado.
  4. Place the cooked shrimp on top of the avocado.
  5. Drizzle more taco sauce over the shrimp.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and thinly sliced jalapenos.
  7. Squeeze some lime juice over the filling.
