Ingredients

- 6 Satsumas
- 1 orange
- 1 pink grapefruit
- Maraschino Cherries
- Pecans
- Coconut Shavings
- *optional (if using less sweet ingredients): 1 tsp sugar
Method
Preparing the Ingredients
- cut the grapefruit into thirds and peel the skin off, then cube the thirds
- halve the cherries
- dice the pecans
- peal the satsumas and pull apart the slices, cutting them into thirds
- peal the orange and cut into cubes
Festively Putting the Ingredients Together
- put cherries in bottom of mason jar to prevent staining the coconut
- layer some of the Satsuma cubes on top of the cherries
- sprinkle some coconut shavings on top
- layer half of the grapefruit cubes on top
- sprinkle coconut shavings again
- place the rest of the grapefruit cubes in the jar
- layer some more satsuma cubes on top
- place the diced pecans at the very top of the jar
- screw the lid on the jar to store the dish and tie a ribbon around the top to complete the festive look for you Ambrosia
- Once it’s time to serve, dump the Ambrosia into a glass bowl and enjoy!
* optional: add sugar if using less sweet ingredients to make the dish taste less bitter
