Pasta Puttanesca

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olives
  • 1 tbsp. capers
  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes
  • 28 oz diced tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • olive oil
  • half of 8 ox. box of pasta
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • parmesan
  • basil

Method

Making the sauce

  1. put olive oil into a pan and heat it up
  2. put in olives and capers
  3. cook for two minutes, putting in garlic at one minute and a half mark
  4. put in diced tomatoes, pepper, sugar, and salt, and cook for 25-30 minutes. Add water while cooking if it’s too dry

Preparing the pasta

  1. boil water and cook the pasta
  2. drain pasta before putting it into the sauce
  3. serve the pasta in a bowl, topping it with basil, parmesan, and olive oil before you enjoy!
