Simple Potato Twisters

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp. parmesan
  • 3 tbsp. Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • ketchup
  • parsley
  • 4 gold/russet potatoes

Method

Cutting the potatoes

  1. stab each potato with a skewer
  2. cut through each potato at an angle, keeping the knife at a certain angle as well
  3. once the knife hits the skewer, rotate the potato to slice a spiral, avoiding the beginning cut so you can slice through the potato in one single slice
  4. spread out the potato, leaving space between the slices

Preparing the wet and dry ingredients

  1. mince the garlic and mix it into the oil
  2. add Panko bread crumbs, parmesan, pepper, salt, and paprika into a bowl and mix

Baking and finishing touches

  1. heat the oven to 350°F
  2. lay the potatoes with skewers on a sheet pan and coat them with oil, making sure to get the oil in between all of the slices
  3. sprinkle the potatoes with the spices
  4. put them in the oven for about 1 hour, turning them over half-way through and adding a bit of spice wherever it’s needed
  5. serve the potatoes with parsley and ketchup and enjoy!
