Super Delicious ‘Slaw Dog

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
  • lemon, squeezed
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1-2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, salted and minced finely
  • 1/2 cabbage
  • hotdog buns
  • oil
  • wieners

Method

Preparing the sauce

  1. add the sriracha sauce, honey, and soy sauce into a glass
  2. put brown sugar into a pan and add the mixture
  3. squeeze 1/2 lemon into the pan
  4. add butter and garlic
  5. once the butter melts, simmer everything for 5 minutes, then take the pan off the heat when done

Preparing the slaw

  1. shred the cabbage super thin, preferable using a mandolin
  2. add the honey sriracha sauce and mix it into the cabbage
  3. butter some hot dog buns, then toast them on a grill. keep them cooking on the grill for now

Grilling the hotdogs

  1. spread oil onto the grill and cook the wieners
  2. pour some melted butter onto the wieners and cook for a few more minutes
  3. squeeze some lemon juice onto the wieners, then take the wieners and the buns off the grill
  4. put a wiener on a bun, add some slaw, then drizzle some honey sriracha sauce on top. repeat for each hotdog
  5. serve the hotdogs on a plate with baked beans and some coleslaw if you desire. Enjoy!
