Oven Baked Margherita Pizza

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • fresh basil
  • tomato, sliced
  • fresh mozzarella
  • olive oil
  • pizza dough
  • flour

Method

  1. warm up the pizza stone to 500°F in the oven *if you don’t have a pizza stone, turn a sheet pan over and put parchment on it. *if you don’t have a pizza peel, then don’t put the pizza stone in the oven right now
  2. put 15 oz tomato sauce, 6 oz tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano into a bowl and mix
  3. spread flour onto a board a roll the pizza dough to stretch it out
  4. poke the dough with a fork a few times all over
  5. put flower on the pizza peel and put the dough on top
  6. add some oil on the dough and spread it
  7. spread the sauce all over the dough
  8. lay tomato slices on the pizza
  9. take of 1-inch-chunks of the mozzarella by hand and put them all over the pizza
  10. put parchment on the pizza stone in the oven and move the pizza onto it
  11. cook for 11-15 minutes at 500°F
  12. take the pizza out, put basil on it, and drizzle some oil onto the pizza before you enjoy!
