Ridiculously Easy Egg-drop Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/8 – 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • scallions, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Ac’cent MSG

Method

  1. pour chicken broth into a sauce pan on the stove and bring it to a simmer
  2. add sugar, white pepper, turmeric, Ac’cent MSG, and sesame oil into the broth then stir
  3. add cornstarch and water into a small glass and stir very well
  4. while stirring the broth, pour the cornstarch slurry in a little bit at a time until the broth is thick enough
  5. taste and add salt if needed
  6. crack the eggs into a bowl and stir them as much as you please
  7. swirl the broth around while slowly pouring in the eggs to create the egg drops
  8. serve the soup in a bowl and top with some chopped scallions before you enjoy!
