Watch the Tutorial here!

Ingredients

  • 1 Acorn Squash
  • 1.5 Tbsp of Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp of Butter
  • Ground Cinnamon

Method

  1. Use a fork to pierce the skin of the squash sporadically before softening it in the microwave for one minute.
  2. Cut the squash into two equal halves, being careful to avoid the stem. Scoop out the seeds.
  3. Use a fork to press a few grooves into the bottom of each squash half.
  4. In each half, pour brown sugar and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
  5. Sprinkle about six dashes of cinnamon on top of each squash half.
  6. Place the squash halves in the microwave and cook for approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Check the doneness of the squash by inserting a fork into the flesh. It should be tender.
  8. If the squash is not fully cooked, continue microwaving in short intervals until it reaches the desired tenderness.
  9. Carefully remove the squash from the microwave, as it will be hot.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
