Sausage, Apple, and Cabbage Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 oz. Chicken broth
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, sliced
  • 1 lb. Kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 6 cups green cabbage, chopped
  • olive oil

Method

  1. Warm up pan on the stove, pour in olive oil, and brown the sausage.
  2. Put the sausages in a separate plate, then add cabbage and onions into pan. Stir and turn down the heat.
  3. Pour in apple juice, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and mix.
  5. After cooking cabbage and onions for 6-7 minutes (or until wilted), add in apples.
  6. Stir and cook for 4-6 minutes, or until apples are a little tender.
  7. Pour in liquid mixture and stir.
  8. Add in sausages and mix, then cook for 5-6 minutes.
  9. Serve in a bowl and enjoy!
